Hey all!
I am not sure if my previous messages went through or not.. I think
when I replied it may have sent to just one member's address. sorry!
My name is Ashleigh and I'm a new mom to a male puppy Chi. His name is
Marco... and the second I saw him I fell in love! He is 2 months old
and barely weighs a lb. His mom was a long hair and his dad short.. so
he's a cute little puffy thing. He's brown with beautiful black
markings.
Anyways.. he's my first chi.. first small breed dog altogether
actually. I joined to get as much info as possible. We have begun to
litterbox/puppy pad train him.. and right away he was great.. I didn't
even have to show him he would go on his own. Now he's gotten
fickled.. he consistently pees in his box but now he's decided he
won't poop in the same one... he'll go right next to it.. or in
another room. Anyone else had to use two boxes? Any tips would be so
great... I'd really like to make this potty training stage as easy on
us as possible.
We do also crate him at night or when we go out somewhere that he
can't join... and he does great. He lasts most of the night.. gets out
a few times to potty. If I put his bed in a large crate with area for
food/water, and a potty section he does great all night. When he is in
his smaller crate with only his lovies and bed he gets out.. will not
go on his bed.
Feel free to give me any info/advice you have... on training and potty
training.
