For the last week, I have been noticing that Zoey, my 1.5 year old
chi, has been throwing up upon getting excited, whether it be us
coming home from work or playing with other pups. She will vomit
without warning, and it is usually a clear liquid or foam. We also
notice that she will often burp up something, but it must not be a
significant amount because she will then just swallow it again. Now,
she does have an extremely sensitive stomach and only eats Wellness
Lamb kibble and once in a while she will get an organic treat. We
thought maybe she ate something and her stomach didn't like it, but
when we noticed this ocurring only when she was excited, we really
didn't know what to do. I'm going to take her to the vet this week.
I don't think this is any kind of serious emergency because she eats
and drinks fine, she isn't lethargic, she is playful and happy. I'm
just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar happen with
their pup and what the outcome was. I'm imagining that the vet will
check for parasites and do a blood test.
