Thanks for the info. It is not sounding like something I would be able to pursue if the cleaning is that time consuming, That is why I no longer have hamster. I love them, but it became to time consuming to keep the cage clean and with the chis and the human kids and all the other pets, I don't have the time they deserve. I always manage to make time to PLAY with my animals....it is just the WORK part that I tend to loose track of, lol Marsha

Good points- If handled when young they will be every friendly, very easy to feed( fruit and veggies, cooked chicken, They are meat eaters- nothing with seasoning on it, (ours loves Honey nut Cheerios also) Bad points - They are nocturnal so they sleep all day, can only play with them during the night( great if your up all night), males have a very musty odor, can be very stinky if cage is not constantly cleaned, will bite if not handled a lot. My son built a big cage for ours out of three large bird cages. One on top of the other. Sugar gliders like to race around and need lots of room. A small cage for an animal like this is really cruel. I personally would never get another one. I have realized from this one that these are wild animals being forced to be domesticated and they should be kept in the wild......... I hope this has helped you to make an adult decision about getting one. Bobbie Jordan www.doggieapparelboutique.com
