Pepper does wear an orange vest. However, and imo unfortunately, the law does
not require ANY type of "proof" such as vest, harness, papers, ect. So it
really is hard on a store when someone says this is my SD because the store can
not request any type of proof. All the store is permitted to ask is "is this a
SD?" For years, Pepper did not use anything because they didn't make stuff that
small until a few years ago, but now that he has one, he always wears his vest
when we are in public. I do need to order some patches though.....

Doesn't your SD wear a special vest when he is working?? Or some kind of
harness? This should be a clue to these people that this is a working dog and
not just a pet. There really should not be an issue with bringing a SD into any
place if he is wearing identifiable gear.
