I too have to disagree with this assessment. I can be in the bedroom or
bathroom and my husband can let the dogs out to the bathroom and when Baby
comes back in if I'm not in the living room she will go look me and run up to
me and give me a kiss.

PPPPFFFFFTTTTTTT. I just can't agree with that assessment and doubt many who
are owned by chis could agree either :-)
My little Taz is a real kisser. In fact, every night, he kisses little Dinah
for at least 20 minutes non stop till her hair is wet and sticking straight up!
It is real puppy love, don't try to tell Dinah he just wants her food! lol

Sorry dont want to burst bubbles here but dogs licking your faces is a
thing they do to get food. It was the way to stimulate the mother into
giving milk and also regurgitating food (in the wild).
Excessive licking as in clothes etc they are licking you as your
smells especially the more personal smells are on the couch, your
clothes or your bed. So again sorry to take the romance out of the
precious 'kiss' Cheers Furdion
