Yes that is right there are two different types of mange. One is contagious
and humans can get it. However, baby has Demodicosis (red mange) which is
heredity. Transferred from the mother to the pup in the first couple of days
of birth. It is not contagious though, thank god. The doctor said all dogs
have the hair mite, but when you have Demodicosis it is producing more than
they should have. Just like all humans have bacteria and parasites. He told
me I should not breed her because it is hereditary and her liter may get the
mange. Maybe not all, but some will. The mange differs in severity, I caught
it early though.
Treatment: Baby was RX an antibiotic for 14 days, and an ointment for 10 days.
The vet said if this doesn't work we will do a special dipping for her. I pray
the RX's work though.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] I know why baby loss her hair. (added pics of baby)

I took baby to the vet and it turns out that she has heredity mange. I am so
mad b/c I know the breeder knew this since it comes from the mother, and she
didn't even warn me. Nonetheless, I am greatful I am the one who bought her
since I can afford to take care of her properly. I am glad that I took her to
the vet when I did. So, if anyone ever notice hair loss, please take your chi
to the vet asap.

I posted pics of baby!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
