It is not unusual for a perfectly housebroken dog to suddenly start marking
when they are moved into a new home. And yes, females mark to. It is often
simply a confusing time. Make sure she does know where her proper place is (
are the potty pads readily locatable?) and give her a little time....Also, she
may simply be marking to show ownership. Kinda the way human's place their name
on the mail box, dog's place their scent on the walls, lol.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Help! I need suggestions on potty retraining.

  Hi,
I am the proud owner of a three year old chihuahua. She is healthy and
happy. Recently we moved from our small 2 bedroom house to a larger 4
bedroom with my boyfriend and kids. Daisy is now using any rug or piece
of clothing to "go" on. She alternately picks one of the kids rooms
also to urinate in. She is still using her puppy pads. She didnt have
an accident for the first month or so but now she regularly has dry
  pads.

  Any suggestions?

  Help!!!

  thanks alot!!
