Hello!
Is good you mention the Agility contests. I was thinking of training
my Chihuahua to participate, but I started being worried about her
kneecaps and injuries. I stopped, but she is a great jumper for her
height. I would love to see a smaller field for tiny Chis like Cocoa
(3 pounds)that wont push her hard.
The games I play with Mimosa and Cocoa are "Catch" . They have to sit
down , stay still and catch a soft ball with their mouths. Sometimes
we do it with food bites.
We love doing gardening togeather, sometimes Cocoa and Mimosa help me
dig the soil if I ask them to come near while I am using a spade.
Mimosa has made up her mind and hates cats. I take her to the backyard
and go " Go get the cat", she has to run around the backyard and sniff
looking for cats or possums ( Mimosa is 6 pounds and not aggressive,
so she just barks at them or at their scents).
And with proper training and the right collar or harness, Chihuahuas
can enjoy walking and sniffing new places.
My favourite game ...train them to do tricks. I have cute video
materials to keep me happy while Iam not home with my Chi babies.
Good luck with the games!
Julia
