I think she is referring to the difference in the quality of dog foods
available. Some of the cheaper stuff simply does not have very nutritious
ingredients.

What do you mean by regular "dog food"?

I make all my chi's food fresh and I believe you should not give scraps. Even
if I'm making something for me I know he'll like, I usually will have to make
it seperately so he does not get the salt, pepper, onion, butter etc.
I would not do it. You'll set an example for the rest of the family, who will
think its ok and then someone will innocently give him something he should not
get it. Just because he has not thrown up yet does not mean that his little
tummy was not upset. Keep him eating his food, which I'm hoping is not regular
"dog food" (but thats another story easily accessed around here.)

  Hi All,
First question, Bitsy our new pup will eat almost
anything she is just 8 weeks old. Any pros or cons on feeding table scraps
  to our new chihuahua.
She eats asparagus, broccoli, carrots, green beans, meat, chicken
and cottage cheese, added to kibble.
Not all at once of course.
