Neither would I remove dew claws as a matter of course. The Only time
this need be done is if the dog has injured him/herself. Otherwise I
believe that the Gods put it there for a reason. Remember to clip their
nails regularly and there should be no problem. Just because people
think that something isnt needed or useful does not make it so.
