I just came from PetCo and after a long chat with a lady there who was buying
dog food for her yorkie hubby and I decided to switch from Eukanuba to Nutro
Ultra. I already mixed the food to both my babies and they like it a lot. We
also bought a dog litter tray and Fiona already pooped in it and Morroka peed
so we are happy that the money was well spent.
Now. . . I have a "situation" and I'd love some advice. Hubby has this friend
who is also a military and lives in KY. He is married to a lady that went to
university with me (other department) They are going to stay over for the
weekend BUT she doesn't like animals at all. Last time they came I had to crate
Morroka but I won't do that again, After all this is Morroka and Fionas house!
She wants to visit Amish villages and all that but I can't leave the house for
too long because Fiona is still a baby and eats every 4-5 hrs. I can't leave
food for her and then go out because she won't eat it (separation anxiety?)
Thing is she eats when we are around. I donated all the crates I had to my
local shelter when we moved Yoda to PR and now I use a baby gate to separate
Morroka from Fiona when I'm out. But I only take half hour or less and I'm
afraid that Morroka might jump up the gate and harm Fiona. Not that she is
feisty, but I wouldn't take any riks. So what would I do?????
Hubby said he won't leave her alone and that he would tell them, but I feel
like a bad host if he does that. She doesn't like animals as I mentioned above
and to her I'm nuts because I feed her around the clock and do not take her in
outings. I told her in an e-mail that I was very bussy with Fiona and poop
trainning her, she answered that I complicated my life for no reason.Anyways
what would you in a situation like this. Take in consideration that hubby and
her hubby are like brothers and he would leave to Irak soon so they want to
share some time. Is his wife the problem she has a heart hard as a rock!

There is an Indian legend which says when a human dies there is a bridge they
must cross to enter into heaven. At the head of that bridge waits every animal
that human encountered during their lifetime. The animals, based upon what they
know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge.... and which are
turned away.
