I have a five yr old girl chi (Maddie), My husband and I adopted her in
september 2006, she has become a great companion to our other dog buddy
(small mutt). We know her history; no abuse, loves cats and other dogs!
She really is wonderful.
When we brought her home, "playing" with toys was a new thing for her.
She had no idea what all these toys were for, quickly Buddy taught her.
Within about a week she "owned" most of the toys.
Here is my question: She growls to protect her toys, even if there is
no threat of losing the toy. She might even snap if we reach in to pick
up the toy. We have had buddy since he was 9weeks, so we were able to
train him to be generous with the toy, and never allowed aggression.
Since Maddie was older when we adopted her, is there a way that we can
tame her aggressive behavior? Training tips?
Thanks ~JL
