I don't think dogs ever reach "menopaws" (lol) the way humans do. If your vet, an experienced person who has actually seen her, feels she is that age....then she probably is. They go by the teeth and stuff.....
I do know however that male dogs will stop producing sperm as they age.... My dogs have always been spayed so I don't know. I'm thinking she might not be this old. My vet says even very geriatric dogs can come into heat and still thinks Pixie is in the 17-19 year old range.
