I am in Northern Virginia and I would love to help with Chi rescue and
transport! I have Australian Shepherds, too and have helped before with
transporting for Aussie rescue. It was very rewarding to help out dogs in
need. I have also fostered a few different breeds for all breed rescue groups.
I did foster and very, very shy Chi once for about a month until she found her
forever home. She came from a bad breeder who kept her in a cage. I really
loved being able to help her learn that the whole world wasn't bad and that
some people are nice and want to love her. We have lots of all -breed rescues
in this area that may be able to take in Chis from other states that need help
and find homes for them. I think the main thing would be to get together
people who would be willing to help with transport.
Why don't all of us who are interested talk about starting some sort of Chi
rescue/transport together? Maybe start in the east first??? And like Marsha
said, try to rescue Chis from any situation, including auctions.
