I had a springer spanial with this and we were finally told to give
nutro's rice and lamb dog food as alast resort and it

ect, but couldn't find anything. I think it was allergies because
one morning, he was 'blown up like a balloon". His face was all
swollen and he had something that looked like hives all over his
body. I took him to the emergancy vet and they gave him benedryl and
it went away. He was allergic to something in my home or yard but we
never figured out what it was. He has since found a forever home as
he was just my foster dog. I am not sure if his new owners figured
out what he is allergic to. But, it did start out with just a couple
of bald spots. I would ask you vet about skin allergies. It's a
possibility.
