Have you tried neo-poly-bac? It is
> an antibiotic eye ointment that usually does wonders
Thank you for the advice. Yes, the neo-poly bac is what the vet gave
us. So far (we are only on day 2), there have been no signs of
improvement. Chip's eye did this once before, in the evening, and by
the time we woke up the next day it was gone. This time, it has not. I
will follow the vets instructions to continue the medicine for 7 days,
and if it is still there, I will definately be taking him to another
vet for a second opinion. I want to avoid surgery if at all possible,
I have read every article and looked at every picture of cherry eye
that I could find. So, I am aware of the pros and cons of the surgery.
I had thought that it might be related to a mild ear infection that he
has, or maybe even allergies, but I think that I am just trying to
convince myself that it is not cherry eye. With that said, I agree
100% with getting a second opinion, before making any decisions.
