WOW! Busterduck, Youknow alot about the merle gene. I am fine with the dachshunds, and totally know the family tree on the 2 i have. They were selected only after I studied the history. Are the chi's as easy to study the family tree on?? I purposely didnt get chi's after going to the home of a woman I was going to buy from after she told me she started having merles by breeding a pie bald dach. to a chi and keeping females to breed to a chi, and so on and so forth. It made me question har ethics. Of course when I went back during the day I saw she had ABOUT 150 dogs, some chis, some yorkies, dachshunds, poms, pekes, and g. shepherds. I left there on my cell phone calling the humane society!!! ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> See what's inside the new Yahoo!
