LOL - I am sure that everyone has their own opinion on this question. Although both of our chi's are short hair, I don't imagine that has much to do with personality. We are blessed with both a male and female. The little guy is just that - he loves to play rough, bark at all sounds, run and play and yet he is right there to cuddle every opportunity he gets. Our little girl is very,,, ummm, dainty. She picks at food, loves to snuggle under blankets, looks to us for all her needs. She is a lap dog, but then again so is he (when he is not protecting the house). I think that each chi is their own individual.
But my limited experience would be that a male is more physical and outgoing and a female is more a nurturing type. When my Jay finally lays down for a nap, Trinity licks his head and eyes to make sure he is OK. I know - weird. Weirder yet, he licks her head back. Quite a pair. Which ever you decide on, you will love. Does one act different than the other? Thanks. Sloane
