When it is cold I leave the tee shirt on all the time. It is colder on the floor than it is a people height. I could tell Raul was cold because he would go sit by the cooling vent (warm air coming out) of my husband's oxygen concentrating machine. Now that it is getting warmer in the day time, he just wears one when needed outside, and at night when the house cools down. After you watch them for awhile you learn to read their signals. Every dog has their own set of signals.

What I did before I started to buy little shirts was to show my husband catalogs so he knew what I had to choose from. Then I took him to Wal Mart and asked him to help me to pick out the first shirt. When he saw the choices, including a pink tee shirt with a ruffle and Tinkerbelle on it, he agreed with my choice of a tasteful turquoise tee with brown trim that said "Unleashed and available".
