yes, it happens to a lot of chis. Usually if it is gonna happen it will happen the first shot, but not always. Last litter of pups I sold went with 2 shots already completed with no problem but when new owner took him for third shot, he had a reaction.....It is such a scary thing!!! And benedryl is the regular way to treat. I would suggest that in the future, you give your baby an OTC Benedryl before the shots and stay at the vet for 20 minutes afterwards to wait for any reactions.... Marsha
