I would suggest giving it a try. I bought a food processor form
Wal-Mart and I buy her groceries along with mine once a week or as
needed. It is really not that much trouble and what a difference it
has made.
I make up about a weeks worth of food at a time and put it in those
tiny Ziploc containers in the freezer. When its time for feeding I
pop one in the microwave, add supplements and waalaa. She loves it
too by the way.
Here is an example of what she might get...
Cooked chicken, blended with (fresh) tomatoes, celery, cabbage, sweet
potatoes, uncooked oatmeal (Quaker--not the instant kind), a piece of
garlic, green beans (canned)...(I never use corn)
For a snack she sometimes gets yogurt blended with fruit. But I did
learn the hard way she does not like bananas. I made up a whole batch
and had to throw it out.
The supplements I add were also purchased from Wal-Mart in the people
vitamin section. Fish Oil and Flax Seed oil capsules (I pierce one of
the capsules and squeeze it out over the food). I also add about 1/2
cc of liquid vitamins(once a day)...I have Canine Red Cell on hand so
that is what I have been using. It has worked well for me and makes
me feel good to do something special to give her a better quality of life.

I am VERY pleased with the results and I may switch all my dogs
eventually...I need to buy a bigger freezer!!!
