actually the deer head/ applehead is an unofficial distinction. There is nothing in the standards that make mention of this......The only mention in reference to this is that standards call for a "well rounded dome" ei, applehead. But it is common knowledge among chi people that we unofficially tend to classify them as deer heads or appleheads Marsha
