Marsha, have you thought about dual registry with the CKC and AKC? I guess it depends on your potential owners. For my next Chi, I want to do conformation as well as performance, so I would look for an AKC pup. So many breeders are swithcing to CKC it seems, so decent AKC pups are getting harder to find.
Can you educate me on why folks are wanting CKC registration over AKC? I am pretty new to the whole showing and breeding thing. My hats are off to serious breeders; it's WORK and WORRY! I would be scared to death I think! And I've delivered and resuscitated human babies!!! >> This is also my first ckc litter, as I have always done AKC.
