Hi Lisa. Welcome to the group! I just got my first Chi about a month ago.
What a great breed! I am very tempted to get another one soon, LOL! I don't
live near you, I live in Virginia, so a playdate is out of the question for me.
:( But..have you heard of Meetup.com? That would be a great place to find
other people in your area with Chihuahuas (or just small breed dogs) that want
to set up playdates. I joined a local meetup group where people with
Chihuahuas have a playdate once or twice per month right in my town. It's a
great idea and I am glad I found out about it. Cricket (my Chi) and I are
going to our first Chihuahua meetup this Sunday. There are about 12 other
Chihuahuas that will be there. This one is held at a local doggie daycare
faciliy on a day where they are closed to the daycare dogs. Some meetups are
at someone's home, too. It depends on what meetups are in your area. I think
you can even start your own if you want. You might want to check it
out.
