I am assuming that you saw my kids in the photos section. 5-7 pounds
is excellent for agility. I have a friend who even runs one of her 4
pounders.

My chis are bigger, 9 and 11 pounds. Although my big boy is on a bit
of a diet (too many training treats!).

Chis can do almost any performance event, so don't let size fool you.

If you have any questions feel free to email me.

There are at least 2 Chihuahuas that have gotten the Master Agility
Champion Title (MACH) from the AKC. It is quite an achievement.

If you are really interested, 1) go to a local trial and check things
out, ask questions, volunteer if you have time. They will usually
teach you the job on the spot. We even have kids volunteering for
some of the jobs. 2) See if the local clubs have classes. I
recommend a basic obedience class first because most of the work (even
in the foundations classes) is off lead. Instructors don't want loose
cannon dogs. You can make or improvise obstacles VERY cheaply when
you are first starting out. If you are starting with a puppy, work on
focus, control and enthusiasm. Avoid jumps too early because their
growth plates aren't closed. 3) Check out other agility forums. In
Yahoo, there are quite a few. I am a member of Mighty-Mite Agility
(for toy breed dogs) and Clean Run. 4) If you get really interested,
there are tons of books and several magazines. I subscribe to Clean
Run magazine. You can find books and videos on the web at Clean Run
and J&J dog supplies, as well as others. Dogpatch and agilitynerd are
also good websites. http://www.dogpatch.org/Agility/ and
