Thanks Marsha for the insight. I did hear about Chi's eating Poop and hoped it would not happen here. Maybe drinking Pee does not look so bad anymore...haha If I hear of a remedy, I will let you know.

Even if spayed, there are still some hormones that attracts boy. We are having a similar and equally gross problem with Dora (the IG) and Lucky (5 mo old chi), only it isn't the urine they are after it is the poop! The actually stand behind the other chis when they are using the bathroom and try to eat it as it falls!!! It is making us soooo sick. I don't have an answer yet for solving the issue, but do not think neutering will make a difference. There are still plenty of reasons to neuter, but I don't think it will stop this behavior. > Marsha > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Maggie > To: [email protected] > Sent: Monday, March 26, 2007 8:30 PM > Subject: [Chihuahuas] Male drinks female Pee > > > I am so glad I found this group and hope someone can help me. > I have 2 adorable Chihuhua's, one 2.5 lb female, 2 years old and a 6 lb > male, 3 years old. > We had the female spayed about 6 month ago and since then our male is > always right behind her when she goes and drinks her Pee. > We even kept him in and let her go alone, just for him to find it and > lick it anyways. > I think this is just disgusting and it upsets me. > Is this a typical trait for Chihuhua's? > What can I do to stop this? > Will it help if I get him nutured? > > I hope someone will be able to help me. > > Thanks, > > Maggie > " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
