I am not sure what's in the Wellness puppy but maybe he is sensitive to it.
But, I have learned you don't alway have to feed a puppy food to a puppy.
They do well on certain "adult" foods too. The Canidae food is for "all life
stages". I think most "adult" dog foods can be fed to puppies, too, as long as
they aren't the reduced calorie foods or senior foods. I feed my 6 month old
Chi the same Canidae food as my 1 and 2 year old dogs and she has been healthy
since I have had her. I haven't had one single soft stool out of her, knock on
wood.

rice for a day or two. It always seems to help. Put some water in
the chicken and rice so he gets enough fluids. Chicken is a lot
easier on their tummies than greasy hamburger. What kind of flavor
Wellness are you feeding Eddie? They have a flavor called Fish and
Sweet Potato that usually is easier for dogs with sensitive tummies
to digest. Also, when you change food brands, always do so slowly.
Slowly add a little new food to the old food and keep increasing the
amount of new food for the first few days.

diet caused diarrhea. I have been feeding him Canidae brand dry
food for a year and he does great on that. I also feed it to my
other Aussie and my Chi. They all do great on it. I remember that
my Aussie (with the sensitive tummy) never really had a nice firm
stool when he was a pup. I was feeding him Iams at first ( I will
never use Iams again). Since I switched to Canidae, he has pretty
much been perfect. It also gives the dogs a nice, shiny coat.

out there. Wellness is good, too, but Eddie may be sensitve to a
certain ingredient. You may want to try the fish and sweet potato
flavor of Wellness. Also, I would never feed canned food, IMO, no
matter what brand. Dry is all they need. Good luck.
