Why not try homemade?...its cheaper than wellness for a 5lb dog, then these bad
food scares will not be relevant for you. And you can make it for the week and
freeze. My guy is 7.5 lbs and active and gets 3/4-1 cup of food a day and i
know exactly what's in it.
i will be going to raw soon but now he gets boiled chicken or beef or turkey
(70-75%) and the rest is cooked sweet potatoes with a teeny bit of overcooked
brown rice. Sometimes he'll get mushy carrots or a bit of green if i'm eating
it. There are other veggies you can give but my guy likes those.
There's a list of foods not to feed your dog posted recently after the pet food
debacle recently and scraps are not so great because of spices, onions etc.
I also add a little calcium and other vitamins etc. made for him but the folks
here can help you with supplements should you not want the expense of their
being specific for him (mine are made by his blood work as he had some health
issues as a puppy)
