my chi doesn't eat poop, thank goodness because she loves to give puppy kisses.
But my poodle who is now nearly 10 years old used to do the grossest thing as
puppy...he would eat the poop from my daughter's diaper! It was so disgusting.
We quickly learned to take the dirty diapers directly to the outside trash can.
He'd follow Jess around after she had a poop, sniffing at her little bottom!
Yuck, still gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it!

Some dogs just love to eat poop. Over the years, a lot of different kinds of
dogs, and different vets, the answer has been the same, "Some dogs just love to
eat poop, there is nothing you can do about it." Just learn to turn you head
when he tries to French kiss you. (Besides even if he didn't eat poop, you must
know how he cleans himself -yuck) Barbara & Raul (who not only likes to eat his
own poop, but bird poop as well) ----- Original Message ----- From: Lori

Subject: [Chihuahuas] bad chi habits
My 5.5 month old chi is picking up some very bad habits. One being, as
soon as our outside door opens, he darts out and runs across the
street to grandma and grandpas! His brother lives there with them and
he loves to go visit, however, even though our road isn't a very busy
one, there is always the chance of him getting hurt. How do I correct
this? I have thought about putting him in a plastic carrier with no
comforts as a time out but am not sure if it will cause more bad
behaviors.

Also, he likes to eat poopies. YUCK! I feed him pedigree, and he is
well fed, so I cant imagine why he would eat that. Should I change his
food? My friend suggested evo something or another and also suggested
feeding him a raw diet, not sure about how safe that is.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I love my dog smoochies, but it
makes lovin gross!!!!

Thanks,
Lori
