In my experience, it doesn't matter when the male dog is neutered. My male
Aussie Shepherd was neutered at 8 months old. At 8 months, he had not started
"marking" yet. He didn't even lift his leg to pee, he squatted like a female.
It wasn't until he was over a year old that he started "marking" and lifting
his leg to pee. This was months and months after he was neutered. I guess it
really has to do with the individual dog.

You need to neuter a male dog BEFORE he starts spraying. If you
don't it is very hard to stop them. You can stop them. It just takes a lot of
work on your part. I would kennel your dog and when you have him out of the
kennel, he should be tied to you. That way, you can see him when he does bad
and correct the behavior. It will take some time but that is the only way you
will get him to STOP spraying in your house.

In the future, you may wish to neuter your male dogs before they are sexually
mature.

  Good luck to you.
