I don't think you are over worrying and I can certainly understand your worry. I am not gonna tell you it is ok...you gotta decide that for yourself. All I can tell you is that for years I have been buying the large size and dividing one tube between all my dogs. I use a little "common sense" so to speak...the smaller 3 pounder doesn't get as much as the 7 pounder, ect.....I do not have a flea problem at all while using it in this way and I have never had even the least bit of problem as far as reactions or anything......So for me, it works great and my vet also gave his approval.....
