I didn't want to use chemicles on my chi, so I got the SHEDENDER
comb from Wal-Mart. It is only about $10. Everytime we go for a
walk, I comb her when we return to the house. If there is a flea on
her, the comb brings it to the top of her fur and I can pick it off
and crush it. So far it is working great. We even got a tick off
before it anchored onto her skin. When I see my Chi scatching a
spot, I get the comb and work on that spot and sure enough a flea
will appear and meet its death !!! My Chi loves to be combed and I
love the excess fur coming off then and not on my clothes later.

frontline plus or just frontline.....I buy the large one and divide
one tube between all my chis...saves money that way! lol. I do not
reapply every month. I have found that for me, it isn't necessary. I
apply every other month or sometimes even every 3 months........

I did hear one person who said their chi was allergic to it. Also,
be careful not to use any flea product on a pregnant dog.
