Have you gotten any blood before? If the vet wants to keep him because of fluids or whatever theres no choice, but if he gives you the option I say take him home as its more stress to be elsewhere. Where are you? Is there a teaching hospital there? we'll be sending you good energy best, michelle and henry NY -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 3:55 PM Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: Stomach problems
I just got back from the vet. I had to leave him there for tests. They are going to hook him up to an IV and do blood work. He is up to date on all of his shots. This problem started probably a little over a month after I got him. He would get a gurgly tummy and not eat in the mornings, but was usually better by the afternoon. It has gotten more frequent over the past couple of months. Today was definately the worst it's been. The vet was concerned about all of the blood and didn't know if it was maybe some strain of parvo. I'm going back at 5:30 to check on him. I have to decide if I want to bring him home tonight or take him to the emergency vet for the night. For the other person who asked, we are in North Carolina.
