I would keep him resting in a crate. He may try to run around and do further injury. Does he have pain meds or any meds at all?? -- em :)
===================== From: kperdue07 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 2007/04/19 Thu AM 12:07:55 CDT To: [email protected] Subject: [Chihuahuas] Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers... Tonight as my husband was going to check the mail before picking me up, Patches ran past him and into the street. He got clipped by 2 cars, one to his back legs, and once to his head. Hubby did 80 in a 45 with him to get me and go the the e-vet near work. When we got there he was drooling horribly and only semi responsive.Thankfully, Patches has survived! He is stable and at home right now. The ride home, he was responding to bumps and corners. At the hospital, he refused to stand, but once at home and on the bed, he stood. He is very shakey when standing and I'm very worried about his hips (they would not do an xray because we did not have the $ with us right then and there). But he has walked a few steps. I now have him laying beside me, trying to keep him still and resting. I am taking him to our normal vet in the morning to recheck him, and they should do xrays then. I just please ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are worried for our lil man. Katie " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends! Join today! " Yahoo!
