Please keep in mind just because so many had this same incident work out
doesn't mean it is going to turn out that way, especially if you have small
ones around, if this puppy does keep being aggressive it might be that the
small ones will simply have to stay away from it and if that isn't possible
then you might need to try to find a home for it with an elderly couple. My
situation worked out with Scoobie (I think) mainly because my husband and I are
elderly and we do not have small ones coming around us that often. There were a
couple different posts with this problem so not sure if your re the one with
the small children or not but if you are then I am afraid you just might find
that you have a dog (I will go so far as to say breed of dog) that really isn't
suited for your household and you might want to consider another breed IF you
do have to re-home your furry baby. Small children or even children under 14
years old do not really grasp the idea of how very fragile
these little dogs are and how very very thin and tiny those bones are in their
legs and the body and they tend to handle them in a way that the dogs consider
hurting, it is not the kid's fault at all, it is not the dog's fault either,
these little dogs simply should not be around young children, for several
reasons. I do hope everything works out okay for you, one thing you might try
and not to force yourselves (especially the kids) on the dog, let the dog come
to you, it will when it is ready, Scoobie would not come to me for 3 days after
we got him, he went to my husband immediately but I was patient with him and
just let him do it when he was ready, I talk to him but I never offered to grab
at him or pick him up till he was ready for me and on the 3rd day he came to me
and like I may have said in my previous post I can honestly say in my entire 64
years of life never had a dog that loves me and is as devoted to me as Scoobie
is...good luck and PLEASE keep us
informed...normajean

replied. I will take each suggestion and
really work on it. This is my first time owning a small dog and they
are so different than larger dogs. I was starting to worry that there
was something I was doing that was causing this so it's good to know
others out there have gone through this and it all worked out.
Thanks again
