Hey,

I want to introduce myself and my babies to the group. My name is Melissa
and I am owner/MOM of a support group for congenial and hereditary problems in
dog. I carry my group link in my signature block. We as a group are
reaching out to help one of our members. I posted previously about Tahoe. Here
is the
link in case you missed the post. _Click here: Nae's Palace of Pets_
(http://www.naespalaceofpets.net/) . There was a member that suggested that
_www.dodgerslist.com_ (http://www.dodgerslist.com/) was a great support
group.
Thank you so much. I have passed that information along to Tahoe's mom. Some
of
our members and a couple of my MOM on our group have had to go the same
route in applying for assistance for their dogs. So we are aware of the
funding
options after this dog gets a diagnosis with the MRI. We are very close to
obtaining the needed funding. Thank you for your continue prayers. I will post
updated about Tahoe. If you have any questions or concerns ...please e-mail me
privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) .
I did want to share some of my fur babies with you. I have 5 Chihuahua's. My
youngest is Trixie and she is the reason I stared a support group. She has
multiple congenital problems. She is one of my pups, She stopped growing at 6
weeks old and we knew something was wrong. Lots of wrong diagnosis before I
found out she had Hepatic microvascular dysplasia (HMD or MVD). We took her to
University of Ten in Knoxville , Ten and they diagnosed her with with
hepatopathy, which is Hepatic microvascular dysplasia (HMD or MVD),
hydrocephalus,
bilateral luxating patellas, right subluxated hip and a seizure disorder.
She is not a candidate for surgery. It has been a struggle to get her to the
one pound 2 oz weight she is now . I am a member of a liver shunt group also.

Her liver is failing and now we are dealing with bouts of low blood sugar (
since the liver helps maintain blood glucose levels ) and fluid building up
in her lungs. She has a good quality of life despite all that is going on with
her. Here is Trixie on a good day.

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6D4FyBHxjM) She will turn two years
old in July.
I have her grandparents Bandit and Singer and her parents Snuggles and
Skippy. Snuggles and Skippy were never breed again after I found out that
Trixie
had MVD ( liver shunts ) and hydro. Trixie's sister was bile acid tested for
liver shunts and is healthy. Thank goodness !! Below are my babies.

Centuries from now it will not matter about the house we
lived in or how much money we made in a lifetime.....but
the world may be better because we helped some of God's
little animals on this earth during our time here
