Please don't let anyone let you feel guilty about having to give up one of your
pets, Jeannie. Some people don't realize how busy some others lives are and
how frustrating it is to care for a "special needs" pet when you don't have
much extra time. Your Chihuahua puppy had a pretty major problem where she
needs lots of patience and training to get over her fears. It's not your fault
that you have so much on your plate. I, personally, understand where you are
coming from. There's just not enough time in the day to get everything done.
And I don't even have kids! I commend you for serving our country and wish you
the best. Hang in there and don't take the negative comments personally. You
did the right thing.

And no I didn't reject all the offers thank you. Maybe you should read all the
post before jumping in. She has found a home a bit closer. And if I wanted to
take her to the shelter, I could have. It's not that hard since each county
has one.

And just to clue you in, all of my pets are well taken care of. They get the
best of care and lots of love and attention. I may not have time to cook for
my husband and myself but I always make sure their food is cooked and ready to
go. Don't mess with my babies.

And until you've lived the military life, being military married to military.
Dealing with deployments and everything else that comes with you, you will have
no idea how busy life can get.

No offense Jeannie, but I think that you are in the wrong group here. As you
might have noticed by all the offers to take Belle (and her problems) we care
about our babies. You posted to a world wide group your need to rehome a puppy
and rejected all offers. Why did you bother when you where just going to try to
relocate her locally or give her to a shelter? Hope you get all those things
that need to be done around the house done. Don’t forget to feed the dogs.

To the rest of the group, I am once again back reading posts. Our move has
caused major internet problems, so I have missed even more. I just started
reading the thread below and maybe I am just tired, no I am tired, but it
ticked me off. Sorry. On a better note, our 2 chi’s (Trinity and Jay) think
that the move to our new house is great. They are loving investigating the
second floor, the garage, the basement and the private backyard. Hopefully, I
will be back to the group on a regular basis soon.. Just a note, I asked my
husband and he agreed to drive from Mass. to MD to take Belle.

Say what you wish. It does not matter to me. I could have easily
taken her to the shelter and been done with it. But no, I decided to come here
and find her a home. Of course there will always be someone who to be cynical.
If you must know, I more familiar with this area since I live here and I'm
from here. Also, my weekends are as crazy as my week days. My husband and
myself are in the military. He just got back from being gone for 4 weeks and
may be leaving soon for 4 months. There are things that must be done around
the house now that the weather is better. Pets that need to go to the vet for
yearly shots, finals to be complete for college. I didn't think I would have
to spell out my life here just to find Belle a suitable home. But the goal has
been accomplished and a home has been found for her. Thanks again.

              Ok ...Got to say this.

I don't understand.. you want to find your pup a good home..

But you aren't willing to drive two hours to meet someone who is willing to
take her..Not even on the weekend??
