Mare, I learned to worm a puppy with Nemex a week before giving shots, then give the shots and not such a big shot to such a little puppy. Take charge at your vet's office - he works for you - and tell him what you need. Don't let him just do what he does to any and all dogs, this is your dog and he's different. He doesn't need the same shot as a great dane if he's a tiny dog
