When I was a child, my mother breed American Eskimo Spitz. When our girls
would give birth, my Mom would give them vanilla ice cream in between puppies.
They wouldnt always accept it, but she offered it. When they would accept it,
they seemed grateful. I dont know where she got the idea to do this, nor do I
know if it is good for the dog, but it seemed to work for my Mom and or Spitz.
Now chis are different from Spitz.
I have a male chi and he loves ice cream ( or any dairy) but when he eats it,
he gets diarrhea, so I avoid it for him.
