I'm not sure, it is the New Beginnings Rescue. They require a home visit and
they don't have the manpower to do that out of state visits. I will keep
looking.

adopted in-state so it never was an issue. However, I know of shelters in
Pennsylvania which were willing to adopt out a Husky puppy to friends of ours
here in Jersey. They did have some special conditions, but I don't remember
what they were and to our friends, it wasn't an obstacle. Maybe you could find
a baby there. Perhaps if you know anyone connected with resuces or shelters in
neighboring states, they could put in a good word for you. I would imagine any
reputable place would much rather a baby get a good home out of state rather
than be pts or languish waiting for their forever family. Good luck!!

I found a chi on petfinder.com but she was in NJ and they won't adopt outside
of the state not even for NY. I tried, I offered to pick her up, but they said
no. Â That's a shame. So many pets needing homes . NY and NJ are certainly
close enough. Donna
