Thank you, Captn Carl, I was born in your neck of the woods, that of course is
unthinkable in Chicago. I was born at St Joseph's Hosp right on Lake Michigan.
1945. And I still have relatives who live up there and work for child welfare
and animal welfare assoc. There are a lot of vets like the one mentioned here
but people can't see the truth, they think if their doctor or vet has a plaque
hanging on the wall that makes him a good vet. I was butchered by 2 dentists
in the past year before I finally found one that would actually work on my
teeth. I left one dentist's office crying and bleeding so badly, I can't
believe I was able to "pay" him. I'm still working on "why I paid him." I
still to this day don't know what he did. He was supposed to be fixing a
tooth. The point is, all doctors of whatever catagory are not alike and not
all should be practicing medicine. I was at my new dentist's office on Monday
this week and saw an ambulance across the street at the
other dentist's office. I could certainly relate to that, I was almost to
that point myself. We have to be knowledgeable and take responsibility for
ourselves and our animals, know what's wrong and be able to tell the vet
because he really doesn't know your dog like you do. He only sees him or her
when the dog comes in periodically. So we need to read and study and learn all
there is to learn about every subject as it comes up and know the answers
before we ask the questions. I'm sorry about your loss. I have been home
cooking for years and am blessed not to have lost any dogs to the food
poisonings, but my daughter has 4 beautiful Persian cats and she is on pins and
needles worrying about what to feed them. Thank you for the links, I will
check them out.

Hello everyone
Captn' Carl here. I've been reading the posts and saw the post and responses
about the Arizona vet and the 5# Chihuahua.
I have a 5# Chihuahua named Mr. Caesar. He is my constant companion and now
that I am retired we spend all day together.
This incident really strikes home with me and I know from your postings that
you are equally upset over this.
