I had them in a puppy pen (with a top), but decided it was time for the ex-pen. I failed to think that their parents are my two worst climbers (mom more so than dad). They are out in about 2 seconds. I have a trash can next to the pen. One day I came home and found 3 of the 4 puppies in the can! I did have a problem with my Chi, Daisy, climbing through chain link when I first got her. She was so small she just walked through. She can't get through now.
