This topic has gotten people hot under the collar. I can understand where people are coming from, but we do have a new member who has come to this group seeking help. While it is ok to state our opinions, can I suggest that we all try to do so in as nice a way as possible? This lady has paid over $900 for a pet and has realized she can not afford to properly care for it. In my opinion, she is doing the responsible thing by trying to find a "better" home. It is not outrageous that she is asking for $300 for a CKC chi, especially after she paid 9 only a few weeks earlier. IMO, she was taken big time by the person she bought from, but that happens when someone does not have the experience, and she has owned up to her mistakes and is trying to rectify them. I think we need to offer her support, and yes, even our contrary opinions....but please, can we do them in a nice way?
