Being gone for 10 hours is a reason TOO use the crate...not a reason not to. I strongly recommend crate training if you are gone that long. But I would see if there is any way possible for someone to come let her out at least once during the day?? It is very difficult to housebreak if there is no one around for that period of time because their little bladders can not hold it that long and they WILL have an accident, which will only lead to making it harder to housebreak :-( It is a difficult period of adjustment aint it?
