Oh, also i always let my dogs know when i don't approve of a behaviour.
I make a noise and grab them by the scruff like their mother did. I
don't beleive just because they are such a small dog that they should
be exempt from regular obedience training. According to Dog Whisperer
Ceaser Milan this is the correct way to dicipline a Chihuahua. Funny
though my one will start screeching like i'm hurting her but I know i'm
not because other times she won't. Only when I take her back to
her "enclosure" my guy will not make any noise when I grab him like
that. He has been chewing on wood things, fortunately bitter apple
works for him. I spray it till it drips off. He even got a hold of a
bar of soap and chewed that in half, so effectively washed his mouth
out for me hahaha. He always licks the shampoo when I'm washing
him...he's such a dingaling but I love him. They are usually very well
behaved dogs and I love being their pack leader LOL!
