We have two males (had 3 for a few says until the new rescue got out... we are still hoping there are nice people out there and they will bring him home to us... but I am starting to lose hope)... they all do that also. I hate hearing the whining and I only step in if it seems to get way out of hand... the older dogs picking on the smaller dogs or they start in on it because of a chewy... or if they are in our bed at night. We don't allow them to play at night on the bed ones the lights are out. Lights out means sleep time.

They are littermates and have been housed together since they came home. They seem to do well together. However, when we are home and let them run around. They fight (playfully????, they are not biting each other hard enough to make each other whine or anything) until we step in and stop them. Is this normal?? Should we stop this behavior? And should we consider housing them separately?
