Hi Melissa, You can give her a little children's Robatussin cough
syrup to help her not cough as much. Too much coughing can lead to
collapsing her trachea or weakening it and so you do want to help her
quiet the cough. Depending on her size, (I will guesstimate under 5
lbs, give 1/8 teaspoon every 4 hours. Keep her away from your other
dogs and wash your hands after handling her. But brace yourself,
kennel cough is highly contagious and your other dogs have probably
been exposed now.

It takes 10 days to manifest after contact. It is an airborne virus.
Sometimes antibiotics can help..but only if it gets really bad and
moves into a bacterial issue. Since its caused by a virus, you treat
the symptoms. Make sure she eats well..as sometimes they wont eat
because their throats are so sore from the coughing.

So feed her human food, chicken and rice with a little chicken
broth..keep her hydrated. Soft food are easier for her to swallow.
Basically what your trying to do is keep her strong enough to fight
the virus with her own immune system. Pedialyte is great too. But
whatever you do, the most important thing is to make sure she eats and
feed her good food that isn't too hard to swallow.

It will take a few weeks to run its course. But even after she gets
over it, keep her away from your other dog for at least 10 days after
she is symptom free. Also Keep your dog areas clean, use watered down
bleach with your soap to clean beds and food and water bowls. Dont let
them share the same water bowl.Hope this helps.

cough. I want to know if there is anything I can give her? I can't
get her into the vet until next Sat and I do not want my chi Zoe to
catch it. Do they sell something over the counter? Thank you very
much for your help
