Maybe it's not your dominance that the dogs question but who the dominant dog
(after you) is the question. Maybe some confusion as to who it is and anxiety
(shown as agression) as a result? My female chi puts my male chi in his place
by getting him down and biting his neck (not hard) and we put her in her place
by putting her down and "biting her neck" with hand. If she tries to bite we
pin her. It always seems to be a constant "work in progress" although i'm not
always dealing with fighting dogs. They only play fight and are usually quiet
for the most part. Neither of them have ever bit me.
Yesterday I got somewhat suprised because I was walking them and the female
started growling because young 3-5yr old girls were squealing and she didn't
like that. She is fine with my son.
My two dogs play with my mother in laws daschund. The first time they met the
daschund would have nothing to do with them and was just all snarles. After a
few times of pinning her down and a few more visits we are now able to let them
all play and run around the house without any issues. It seemed to be a matter
of letting the daschund know that it was unacceptable behaviour. The daschund
hadn't played with other dogs and was unsocialized with dogs for the most part.
  Hope this helps
  Sue

I don't have any crates that are large size. All I have are
2 small ones. I don't have money to buy any either because of the huge electric
bill. I will get a deposit I hope on the 5th on a doxie puppy and then I am
going to try to buy one.
My hubby is handy with wood though. Maybe he can make a small cage for in the
house. We have one outside that is 4 foot wide and 8 feet long and 4 foot high
and it is chicken wire. Knowing my luck they would gnaw through the wire and be
halfway to your house Em.
Tell Chico hi and hugs !
Yes the momma is fine and Herc has a sore leg and is intimidated...poor baby.
If it comes down to it they will go before he does.
Wow that is funny she bites his shoes. He better carry treats in his pockets
huh?
No kidding my sheltie used to search everyone's pockets cause my late hubby
always carried her treats in his pocket.
  Thanks Em !

        OH! I don’t know what happened L
The message I sent was this one: Can you crate them when you are not around?
I would keep showing them who the real Alpha Dog is…Is the little mom okay?
How about Hercules?? - I hope everything work out for you. Chico says hi, he
is curled up on my lap watching me type J -- em

Some dogs are just harder to break than others. My little Pita is still a
pistol and tries to bite my husband ALL the time. Now she has taken to biting
his shoes instead J -- em

Em this email is blank in my mail box. Did you accidentally
send an empty. I sure was wanting to know your opinion.
