Cami <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi,

I am Cami and my 3-yr-old little girl Chi is Meka. (I am 30 and
female and not a canine. :) ) I have had dogs since i was in the
womb...

About Meka: She was basically a pure-breed, show-dog bloodline,
rescue... the bfriend of a gfriend of mine (who bought her from
Tampa) was hitting Meka (she had a diff. name then) when she was only
2 months old and like 2.5 lbs... they said she was a bitch and hated
her. They wanted to breed her w/ their crazy hyper male (yet
adorable), whom Meka did NOT care for... she was and is a a bit like
a cat more than a dog should be.I knew i'd love her (I love all dogs
anyway but you know how you KNOW a certain dog is for you...) so I
invited them to have Meka spend the night.

She was TERRIFIED when they brought her to me. I held her for 3 hrs
straight, after they left, in a towel, before she would even venture
to look at anything.

She was/is SO adorable. It was love at first sight, once she looked
at me and made sure no one was coming back to take her away. :)

Anyway, she is 3 now, in perfect health, has a WONDERFUL disposition
(NOT snappy, yappy, or annoying at ALL )... I socialized her for a
good 2 monthd when she was 3-4 months old... all day, every day. She
now actually NEEDS to have more than just ME around... she wants at
least one other human, and preferably 2 other dogs living with
us...any breed, but she loves Yorkies, Bichons, and pit bulls actully
(but I'm not getting one.)

She quit screaming at every new human male she met, and she LOVES
females, always has, esp. little girls. (Her breeder had 4 little
girls who treated Meka like a princess and carried her all over in
her crate, so she loves her crate as well.) She was very traumatized
when I got her but she is great now. Also, she is about 4-5 lbs now,
very well proportioned, her forehead is not too large, ears a kinda
big :), and coloring is beautiful dark brown and tan. (Though if I
get another one as her sibling, I'd love a blue/grey one.)

She only fears 3 things the most: heights, large leaves, and kitty
cats...

We just wanted to say hi and answer any questions people might have
if their Chi has a similar history. We are in West Los Angeles, btw.

Cheers,
Cami and Meka
