Taffy is home now, so it is not a concern. Also, her eye is all healed now. HOWEVER, lol....all those things you mentioned...we don't have them. We do not have an animal shelter, vet, or AC officer in the county. I do not bother with microchipping because there is no one anywhere near here that has a reader. We live in a very rural area :-)

For that reason alone, I highly recommend having her chipped with the HomeAgain implant. It is fairly cheap, and all police, vets, pounds and shelters are trained to check for it. I don't mean to scare you, but it can be a life saver if she ended up in a kill shelter, however, those usually wait a week or so before putting them to sleep depending on their load and capacity. Being my first cat, I didn't have the sense to know how soon they could get pregnant, so before she was anywhere near a year old, she was pregnant....she had one kitten and that seemed weird to me, so I took her to the vet and the vet said there was a kitten stuck in the birth canal. He did a c-section and spay at the same time...so she was spayed before she was a year old. I kept the one kitten........Candy was 6 years old when the neighbors dogs killed her earlier this summer. Taffy has grieved every since. The other kitten only lived a day or two since she wouldn't care for it. But anyhow, no, she was spayed, so no kittens. > Marsha > > Do not tell God how big your storm is. I opened the bedroom window beside my bed and climbed out on the roof to get a water hose to add more water to my waterbed. When I turned around, Cayenne and Ginger were on the roof with me!!! It is a second story window and I was scared to death they were gonna fall off! If they had, I would never have forgiven myself for being so stupid!!! I managed to get them to come to me and grabbed them and put the back inside and shut the window, but boy was I doing some heavy praying at the time, lol. > > A bit of a sad story to report as well. Some may remember me asking about the cat eye a short while back. Well Taffy's eye got all well and all, but I haven't seen her for 3 days now. IT is not all that unusual for her to not come home one night and occasionally to stay gone for two...but never three. I am afraid I will never see her again. Earlier in the week I had been worried because she appeared to be swollen, but she came in and ate fine and all, so I figured it was my imagination and thought I would just keep an eye on her......but now, I fear I may have missed something. Taffy is the first cat I have ever had...she is 7 years old. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers..... > > Marsha > > Do not tell God how big your storm is.
