Taffy is home now, so it is not a concern. Also, her eye is all healed now. HOWEVER, lol....all those things you mentioned...we don't have them. We do not have an animal shelter, vet, or AC officer in the county. I do not bother with microchipping because there is no one anywhere near here that has a reader. We live in a very rural area :-)

For that reason alone, I highly recommend having her chipped with the HomeAgain implant. It is fairly cheap, and all police, vets, pounds and shelters are trained to check for it. I don't mean to scare you, but it can be a life saver if she ended up in a kill shelter, however, those usually wait a week or so before putting them to sleep depending on their load and capacity. IT is not all that unusual for her to not come home one night and occasionally to stay gone for two...but never three. I am afraid I will never see her again.
